Kitchen Kid is proud to deliver culinary education to communities all across LA county. Whether enrolled in a half-day or full-day program, you can be sure your campers will safely learn kitchen fundamentals, palate development, and culinary techniques used in professional kitchens.
***Please note: Registration for our Beverly Hills camps is managed by the City of Beverly Hills Department of Parks and Recreation. The times and pricing structure are both slightly different and the program is only offered as a morning session. Please visit the BH Parks and Recreation website for more information. Online registration begins on March 7th.***

Ages: Campers entering 1st – 8th Grades; Because of our small class size, excellent ratio, and shared passion for cooking, this diverse age range has proven beneficial and compatible.
2017 Culinary Themes for Half-day Sessions:
Edible Experiments: Attention food and science lovers! Have you ever wondered what makes a biscuit rise or chocolate lava flow? This week, the kitchen will transform into a laboratory filled with yummy discoveries and edible experiments! Campers will learn all about emulsions, acids, leaveners, and why these are things every chef should know about and use. Some recipes in the works for this week are: Fresh Ricotta Meatballs, Candied Maple Bacon Brussels Sprouts, and Mini Lemon Meringue Pies. Scientifically Scrumptious!
Fresh from the Farm: Come get down and dirty with some of your farm-fresh favorites! This week, campers will prepare a delicious variety of dishes while exploring all parts of the plant. Using seeds and flowers, roots and shoots, we’ll optimize each flavor to create garden-inspired delicacies – both sweet and savory! Root Veggie Latkes, Spring Pea Soup, and Fresh Mint Ice Cream are all on the menu for the week – it’s never been this fun to eat so well!
Food Truck Fest: We will dive in to the ever-growing food truck phenomenon as we recreate some of LA’s favorite meals found on wheels! Throughout the week, our palates will go on a global road-trip to learn the skills required to cook both fresh and fast, so buckle up! We’ll be serving up tasty comfort cuisine like Snack Shack Sliders, Pineapple Fried Rice, and Mexican Hot Chocolate Brownies – bring your appetites!
